Centennial Newsletter and Centennial News

Restore Hetch Hetchy's special Centennial newsletter is available.

Our Centennial newsletter is online. Note that it includes a very nice 3 page centerfold (many thanks to Ron Rick of Ronrickdesign). If you'd like a paper copy but did not get one, send an email with your name and address to Office Manager Julene Freitas (julene@hetchhetchy.org) or call 510-893-3400.

The best media story about the Centennial might be "NPS@100: Turf wars nearly smothered agency at birth" by Corbin Hiar, E&E reporter. Hiar does a very nice job and includes links for further reading. Especially interesting is Horace Albright's memoir, "Creating the National Park Service: The Missing Years". (Albright is shown below with his mentor Stephen Mather.)
