Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (2016)

The Restore Hetch Hetchy 2016 Annual Dinner, that is, not that famous meeting of prospective in-laws that took place on the silver screen 49 years ago.

Will it be actor Sidney Poitier or publisher Malcolm Margolin?

Unfortunately, we have not heard from Sidney, nor Katharine Houghton.

Malcolm will be there, however. We will be presenting him with the Stephen Mather Visionary Award.

Are we expecting filmmakers David Vassar and Sally Kaplan, or movie stars Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn?

Restore Hetch Hetchy will present the John Muir Heritage Award to David  and Sally - an honor long overdue for their wonderful film,"Discover Hetch Hetchy".

Sadly, Spencer and Katharine are no longer with us.

What about you? Will you join us? See below for details.

Lead counsel Mike Lozeau will be our keynote speaker.

Ann Hayden, star of "Discover Hetch Hetchy" will attend and may sign autographs if asked politely.

Brian Judd will play guitar and invite us all to sing along.

Restoring Hetch Hetchy Valley in Yosemite National Park is controversial in some communities, as was "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" when it was released in 1967 (interracial marriage was illegal in 17 states!).

In the east bay, however, we are pretty much among friends - so you can count on a relaxed and fun evening celebrating our campaign to make Yosemite whole once again.

Please join us if you can. Buy tickets or, better yet, sponsor a table.
